The Lion and the Hare

Once upon a time, there was a lion in a forest.

The lion was very fierce and hungry.

All the animals were scared of the lion.

They decided to send one animal each day to the lion.

One day, it was a hare's turn.

The hare was very clever and had a plan.

He took his time getting to the lion.

The lion was angry when the hare arrived late.

The hare said, "I met another lion on the way."

The lion roared, "Show me this other lion!"

The hare led the lion to a deep well.

The hare said, "The other lion is inside."

The lion looked in-to the well and saw his re-flec-tion.

Thinking it was the other lion, he jumped into the well.

The lion drowned, and the hare was safe.

Moral:

Cleverness can defeat brute strength.
